The Future's Coming

In the van, just hit the Trader Joe's in Reno. Cigarette's are expensive, the hummus is cheap and the vibes are positive.

We've spent the past few days in Truckee with Curt and his fiancee, Emily, who are both fantastic individuals. They gave us a warm floor to sleep on and made delicious snacks for Superbowl Sunday and we couldn't be more grateful to them for it.

I'm sober, celibate and excited. How about you?

Forever yours,

TourThousandNine (explanation)

First we went to Las Vegas, we liked the bright lights and nickel slots. Then we realized Vegas was depressing. Jon went straight to booze, I climbed out a 29th story window and contemplated ending it all. (I didn't go through with it.) Once Jon sobered up we got out of Las Vegas, but not without some classy souvenirs.

We drove through the desert.

We ended the drive in the mountains, a mysterious man lead us to some hot springs south of town and we spent an entire day off outside, looking at mountains and sitting in natural hot springs. We slept in the van on the mountain.

We played Tahoe, we ate an amazing breakfast. We spent the afternoon looking at the lake and stopping in for some goods at a thrift store. My brother bought some new boots, myself a new hat and Jon...He's Jewish.

Please remember, Tweak Bird Loves You!

Don't Misbehave in the New Age

With the new year upon us, I figured it was fitting to resurrect the Tweak Bird blog. It's a new year, new things are happening. It's very exciting.

As of now, I'm sitting in a hotel room at the Circus Circus in Las Vegas. Last night, the dudes played an instore and then we walked along the strip and ended up at Slots-O-Fun (highly recommend it!) We were also offered a free ride to the Underground Asian Whorehouse by a cab driver but we said "no thanks dude" (is that weird?)

Tonight Tweak Bird plays at the Joint. Until then, I'm off to find Ronald's for vegan doughnuts.

$7.50 American

We just finished a US tour with Valient Thorr. Those dudes are really cool and inspiring. My favorite show was Chicago at the Cobra Lounge. We weren't even supposed to play but Valient Himself convinced the man to let us in. We set up next to the bar and did our thing on the people's level. At the end of our last show at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa I knocked over Eiden Thorrs amps like a 90's grunge rocker. ...We're not that kind of band.

We played a couple of songs on this TV show "The Daily Habit". It's an action sports show on Fuel TV. It was kinda wierd, but really fun. Here are the clips...

The Cops Came Before We Did...

We jammed out with Mr. Free and the Satellite Freakout on their Bus in Chinatown. The night began in Echo park and then the Police came and said that it was illegal and immoral. So the bus moved to chinatown and that is where we got on! Check out the video by VideoThing.
